SARAH ROTHACKER

On May 23rd, I graduated from Elon University with my BFA in Dance Performance and Choreography, and BA in Communication Design with a Summa Cum Laude Honor. Thank you to all my family and friends for being the best support system!

The Elon University BFA Dance Class of 2025 took their final bows this weekend! My peers and I spent two months creating a collaborative show to present to the community, family, and friends on April 11th-13th called Vestige XXV. The show combined the entire class‘s creative visions into a full length concert about time. I presented my piece Loose Pages, danced by Meredith Peck and performed in some of my peers pieces as well. I also took on the role on the Production Management Team and Artistic Direction Team for this project. I am beyond proud of all these girls and cannot believe we put on such a successful show!

I am so proud to be able to say I designed Elon Dance Class of 2025’s BFA/EDP merch this year! This was a long time coming but we had such a successful sale and raised lots of money for our senior seminar show coming up this April. I will be living in these sweatshirts and shorts for the foreseeable future.

March 6th-9th was my last Spring Dance Concert, Emanation, Directed by Jasmine Powell, and my last time performing in McCrary Theatre. I was honored to be able to work with two choreographers, Forrest Hershey and Kara Janelle Wade. The process was so inspiring and I was so grateful for an amazing weekend of dancing!
